Health informatics and health information management are two interactive fields. Many thinks that they might be used interchangeably. In fact, both are two separate disciplines. Health informatics is an interdisciplinary field that primarily aims to study large scale global health issues. In contrast to the Health information management which operates on individual data to ensure effective data sharing at patients’ level. Health information management is now considered a branch of health informatics rather than an entity. This mindmap aims to highlight key differences between the two fields.
